MADE FROM SHADOWS
MUSIC
Once Sean Patrick graduated high school, he slid right into deejaying at clubs. Spinning at that time meant sets of post-punk, new wave and industrial being the mainstays. He slowly started introducing other styles of music into his sets including house, electronica and hip-hop. Deejaying has brought many amazing experiences over the years, playing alongside some of the biggest names in music all over the world. Spinning as MADE FROM SHADOWS (previously known as BYSTANDER), he's played at the best house and techno clubs, parties and festivals, always sharing his passion for all of the great music out there.
Over the years his deejayed with or opened for Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Thom Yorke, Massive Attack, Hot Chip, Bjork, LCD Soundsystem, M.A.N.D.Y., Carl Craig, Damian Lazarus, DJ Tennis, Art Department, Stacey Pullen, Jamie Jones, Cut Copy, Seth Troxler, Soul Clap, 2manydjs, Matthew Dear, Trentemoller, Sasha, Mano Le Tough, Kevin Saunderson... the list goes on and on.
Not content with spinning just other people’s music, He has teamed up to work with an array of other musicians and vocalists to create MADE FROM SHADOWS' unique dark sound, including longtime friends like Ken Gibson of Adjunct Audio, Jeremy Dawson of Shiny Toy Guns/Mirror Machines, Eric Sharp, Kinsey Dulcet, Mark Bell of Shaboom, Mount Sims, Linda Lamb of Vitalic, George Cochrane of Wild + Free. His original songs and remixes have found their way onto dance floors all over the world. He has worked on material that includes remixes for The Beastie Boys, She Wants Revenge, The Sea Atlas, Kill Hannah, The Greenskeepers, Reverse Commuter, Fanatico X and The Virgin Tears.
Made From Shadows' most recent release is a collaboration with the inimitable Mount Sims, along with Kinsey Dulcet and mercurial songstress Linda Lamb to produce a caustic heartbreak anthem known as History Is Not Shrinking. Initially appearing on DJ Three’s lauded Hallucination Limited mixed compilation in 2005, it has remained a coveted secret weapon amongst a select few deejays until this release on Hallucienda, including remixes by Tyler Pope (LCD Soundsystem / !!! / Out Hud) and Reverse Commuter (Kenneth James Gibson / [a]pendics.shuffle). The EP charted on Beatport in the Top 10 for 3 weeks and Top 40 for another 3 weeks. There is also a companion DJ mix featured on XLR8R that MFS did with Tyler Pope.
